Kære/Dear/Liebe Camino Friends,
I am so thrilled to share with you that my article and a couple of my paintings were published in the May edition of the American Pilgrims Newsletter. It is on Page 9, and on page 12 is an article about a couple of Canadian pilgrims crossing the Pyrenees in a snowstorm - they emailed me and ordered some of my prints!
Finally on page 15 is one of my photos of the arrows which I had submitted - thought you might get a kick out of reading this newsletter - they do a fabulous job!

Traveling, Teaching and Painting
My name is Eva Stramer Nichols, and I am a watercolorist residing in California. I walked and painted my way along the Camino de Frances in the Fall of 2009, and I am now working on finishing my series of paintings from the Camino. I am looking to get in touch with other artists who are painting from the Camino as well, to collaborate on a traveling art show celebrating the Jacobean Holy Year of 2010. If you are interested or know of other artists or galleries who might be, please get in touch with me through my email or my website. If you want to read about my Camino experiences please go to my blog: http://whereintheworldiseva.blogspot.com/

Good for you to make an English website. We began the Jacobsweg last summer and did from Lake Constance (Rohrchach) to Thun. This summer we have done to Lausanne and hope to finish in Geneva. Got lost after Vucherens and before Mezieres in the woods. Finally arrived at Mezieres after 13 hrs. walking and found the Auberge closed for holidays. A kind gentleman took us in for the night. God is great.
Regards
Thank you!
CD "Impressions of a Pilgrimage"
Impressions of a Pilgrimage tells the story of the pilgrims route to Santiago de Compostela (Spain) in music. This symphonic work has been recorded with orchestra, vocalgroup Intermezzo, Aoife Ni Fherraigh (Ireland), lots of percussion and (very special!) the organ in the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. No one has ever before become permission to record this instrument.

Last fall I also walked the Jakobsweg alone and like Marguerite reached a very scary part after Trieb. The elevations were high and the path exposed, slippery and in some parts destroyed.
I plan to continue on from Buochs this fall but wonder if there are other places where I might feel afraid or perhaps want to find an alternate route around?
Thank you
Marguerite
Thank you so much for the website, I am hiking Jacob's Way alone, my choice, went as far as the eighth day this weekend, am hoping you check the website, have a question, at Trieb, I think I took the ravine path, did not see any other signs for another path, one of the most scary things I have done, would like to do it again next year, but do not want to take that path again, can you help? also just to let you know, I print out your itineraries each day, and I read them as I go along, so I do not feel alone, have seen all the places you stopped and said hello on the way, so thanks again

Your new design is excellent and your site has helped me plan our way along the Via Jacobi this coming September (Krauchthal - Geneva). May I suggest you think of adding a mashup of a route map allowing contributors to add photos and text?
walking tour
hello, will there be an organized walking tour sometime in the near future? i hope this can be announced in this webpage. i am interested to join.
Saludos a tod@s, Mario Rubio.
